Caz is a Sheffield based artist. Most recently her focus has been oil painting portraits for commissions, using M. Graham professional quality oil paints, walnut oil and high quality canvases. Caz was fortunate to have been taught in workshops led by such acclaimed artists as Nathan Ford and David Grey who have shared techniques and styles that have influenced her work. Portraiture seemed to emerge out of her early sculptures where she created small figures either of specifically commissioned people or to represent aspects of herself. These figures were made using polymer clay and found natural objects such as acorn hats and feathers for hair, reflecting an affinity with nature.
"I most love art when it connects people rather than alienates them."
